TERMS & CONDITIONS

GENERAL

In this Service Agreement “Agreement”, “you” and “your” refer to each “customer”. Including each (agent)you designate to act on your behalf. “Phoenix Detailing” herein shall refer to Phoenix Detailing, it’s members, managers and employees. This Agreement explains our obligations to you and your obligations to us in relation to the service(s) you approve, deposits agreed upon, dates of service and purchases. If you designate a person to act on your behalf, you agree that this person is your agent with full authority to act on your behalf with respect to your vehicle and it’s services. The following sections specify terms and agreements that shall apply between you and Phoenix Detailing and cover all vehicles or substrates, including but not limited to; cars, trucks, SUVs, boats (all water vessels), motorcycles, aircraft, industrial equipment, indoor or outdoor kitchen equipment or other household or commercial appliances or apparatuses.

An evaluation is necessary to determine the condition of the vehicle prior to service to provide an accurate and total cost. Washing a vehicle often uncovers condition issues not readily apparent during the intake process. We therefore reserve the right to adjust any services and prices over-the-phone (via phone, text, email or any other correspondence) if there are changes needed to complete the job. A written estimate is binding for 5 days unless the condition of the vehicle has changed within that time frame.

Pursuant to Florida Sales Tax law, all services provided by Phoenix Detailing are subject to Florida Sales Tax as our services include the use of products other than “soap”. The fee due for our services is the agreed dollar amount in addition to Florida Sales Tax. This agreement is considered the approval submitted by you prior to service or acknowledgement by email or text prior to service.

To hold your agreed upon date/s of service you must provide a deposit. This deposit is generally $50 but is subject to variation as deemed pertinent by Phoenix Detailing. These variations may be due to length of time required to perform the service (how many days we have dedicated to your project), special orders required to complete the service or any other designation. The deposit may be refunded if you cancel your service 2 business days before your scheduled service if the total service amount is less than $500 and 3 business days if the amount is greater than $500. Deposits are also nonrefundable for no showsdue to any reason.

PAINT PROTECTION FILM

DRYING TIME

Your new paint protection film will take 3-4 weeks to fully cure depending on weather conditions. Do not wash the vehicle for 5 days. Vehicles will be scheduled for a follow up inspection 2 weeks after PPF installation. Failure to return for the follow up inspection removes any warranty on installation.

CONDITION OF VEHICLE FOR PAINT PROTECTION FILM APPLICATION

Vehicles cannot have any type of coatings on the finish. These can affect the effectiveness of the adhesion and may cause lifting, bubbles, and other issues which are not covered under mfg. warranties. Client is aware that the design of the paint protection film is for OEM factory paint. The client waives and releases Phoenix Detailing / Sun Stoppers Melbourne from any warranty or damage claims where a product has been applied to a non-OEM painted surface.

INSTALLATION

Some of our paint protection kits are computer cut using special cutting software. Precut kits involve stopping short of an edge, edges around badges, washers, and corners. The customer understands that the paint protection film is a sacrificial layer for your car and not a complete invisible layer. Customers may choose to have a custom design fit or bulk install for an additional fee.

HEADLIGHTS

Headlights are not recommended for paint protection film due to HID features and some exterior coatings on the lens themselves. By authorizing Phoenix Detailing / Sun Stoppers Melbourne to proceed with the headlight film application, customers hereby acknowledge the risk and waives any claims against Phoenix Detailing / Sun Stoppers Melbourne and agrees to hold Phoenix Detailing / Sun Stoppers Melbourne harmless in the event that damage does occur during the installation process.

PAINT PROTECTION FILM REMOVAL

Removal of clear bra and vinyl wrap including repositioning during installation has inherent risks. The biggest of those risks is that paint may lift up due to aged adhesive, or weak bond of paint underneath. Because we have no way to know the condition of the paint underneath the clear bra or vinyl wrap, we cannot be responsible for paint lifting, clear coat damage, scratches, discoloration or any other paint defect that is either caused during the removal process or that was present but not visible prior to removal or repositioning during installation. We take every precaution to minimize these risks including: Heating the panel with a steamer, applying hot water prior to removal, using a heat gun when necessary, using plastic razor blades when necessary and using paint safe solvent when necessary. By agreeing to this approval, I acknowledge that Phoenix Detailing will take every precaution necessary to mitigate the above risks but I do not hold them responsible for any pre existing damage or damage caused by the removal of clear bra or vinyl wrap. Additionally, I agree that Phoenix Detailing will charge an hourly rate of $85 per hour to remove film and cannot provide a 100% accurate estimate prior to completion of the project

IMPERFECTIONS

Although we strive for perfection in our installations, due to the nature of this product, some degree of dust contamination and or minor imperfections are present in every Paint Protection Film application. Also, Pre- existing flaws, such as scratches, rock chips, debris in the paint, debris in the clear coat, misaligned body panels, sanding marks are much more noticeable after the paint protection film is applied. Paint Protection Film will have minor imperfections such as slight orange peel and may also include other MFG defects from. Vehicles with 200 or more miles may have more imperfections due to mileage and use.

WINDOW TINT

**DO NOT ROLL DOWN YOUR WINDOWS FOR 3 DAYS**

FILM CARE

Windows may be cleaned after seven (7) days with INVISIBLEGLASS brand glass cleaner. Alternatively, use a mild soap and water solution with microfiber towel. PLEASE DO NOT use brushes, scrapers, razors, abrasives or any kind of ammonia-based product to clean your windows. Note: Depending on the type of film installed and the outside temperature and humidity, it may take two to three weeks for the film to cure completely. It is common to see moisture circles or hazy water between the film and glass and they will clear up during this curing process.

WINDOW TINT RELEASE OF LIABILITY

FILM REMOVAL

When removing old film from your vehicle, we employ the safest methods possible. We are usually able to steam off the film but occasionally it is necessary to use scrapers and mechanical means. There is no way to know how difficult it will be to remove old film until we get started. Sun Stoppers assumes no responsibility for scratches or other minor damage to your vehicle resulting from film removal, including damage to the rear defroster.

WATER DAMAGE

Window film is installed using soapy water. We take every precaution possible to keep water from getting anywhere except the glass, however there is still a chance for water damage to electronics. Phoenix Detailing / Sun Stoppers is not responsible for water damage to wiring, circuits, amps, etc. resulting from normal installation procedures.

GLASS BREAKAGE

We use heat guns to mold the film to your vehicle’s windows. With certain types of glass, or if there are rock chips or small cracks in the glass, there is a small potential for “thermal shock” which can result in the glass spontaneously cracking or shattering. If this happens, your auto insurance will be responsible for replacing the broken window.

BUYER'S REMORSE

We will show you samples of our different films and make recommendations based on your vehicle and stated outcome, however, the final decision is up to you. If we install film on your vehicle and you later decide you don’t like it, we are not responsible for replacing it with something else.

DETAILING

For all interior services, customers should remove all personal belongings including money or valuables from their vehicle prior to service. Failing to remove personal items from the interior of the vehicle may result in an additional cost if we have to gather and bag these things. We assume that your vehicle is fit for the agreed upon services. All of our equipment and procedures are considered safe by industry standards and Phoenix Detailing is not responsible for any damage incurred because the interior or exterior of the vehicle cannot withstand these normal procedures.

CERAMIC COATING

A new Ceramic Coating will take, depending on environmental conditions such as humidity and temperature, about 2-3 weeks to fully cure. During that time, some precautions should be taken. Being hydrophobic, the coating can help prevent water spots on your clear coat. However, contaminated water will leave behind deposits when it evaporates. When fully cured, the coating is less likely to etch than your factory clear, but during the curing process, it can get water spots and can be costly to remove. During the curing process avoid:

○ Parking under a tree especially if it is shedding. You don’t want tree sap on a fresh coating.

○ Allowing bird droppings, sap or pollen to sit on the car and bake in the sun.

○ Washing or abrading the paint.

If you notice that your car gets bird droppings, bugs or other contaminants during the first two weeks, immediately remove it by gently wiping with a wet microfiber towel.

CERAMIC COATING CARE AND MAINTENANCE AFTER CURING PROCESS IS COMPLETE:

Washing your car at home

Ceramic Coatings are extremely slick, this means most loose dirt will roll off with water. Minimize rubbing, (especially with a dry towel) on the coating to ensure its longevity. Use SiO2 based soap to wash your coated vehicle. For optimal results, blow dry or use a 520 GSM edgeless microfiber towel.

Washing schedule

For best results the car should be washed on a bi-weekly basis to avoid excessive contamination build-up. Use only recommended mild soaps.

Avoid high volume brush style car washes, and high PH detergent style cleaners.

Avoid washing in direct sunlight to minimize streaking and water spotting.

Wash from the top down leaving the dirtiest sections for last to avoid cross contamination.

Washing Methods

Standard home washing

Use a foam gun (optimal) or microfiber wash mitt to soap down the car. Rinse it off with a pressure washer (optimal) or hose. Dry with air or clean microfiber towels.

Spray ‘n wash self car washes

Select the high pressure soap. Soap the car down (never use the provided brushes especially on the paint!). Rinse the car off with the high pressure rinse. Dry with clean microfiber towels.

Car washes

Touch-less car washes only. Never use a car wash with brushes! Never select the “spray wax” option.

Drying

● Always dry completely and never leave to “air” dry. Tap water contains minerals that may leave deposits creating water spots.

● Only use quality microfiber towels or air dryer for best results and avoid aggressive wiping, allowing the material to absorb the water.

Spot Removal

● Never use aggressive products to polish the coating or remove surface contamination.

● Never use excessive force to remove spots.

● Bird droppings, tar, sap, etc. should be removed as soon as possible to avoid temporary staining or hardening on the coating. Any staining left behind from bird droppings will break down over a few days without affecting the coating.

After Washing

Do not wax the coating. It is unnecessary and the wax will not bond to the coating.

Ceramic coating conditioner containing SiO2 is the recommended maintenance and aftercare product.

Automated Washing

Always go to a touch free wash! Using an automated car wash with brushes will void the warranty and dull the coating. Ceramic coating can take up to 2 weeks to achieve full hardness. Please handle it with care and do not wash the vehicle for the first 2 weeks.

Leather and Fabric Maintenance Program

For best results, all leather/vinyl surfaces should be cleaned bi- weekly with a leather protectant to avoid contaminant build-up and replenish the natural oils.

Vacuum carpets regularly and use carpet & fabric cleaners when necessary.

Immediately wipe off spills on leather, vinyl, or fabric.

Warranty

● Transparent Warranty applies to automobiles 3 years or newer at the time of application

● See website for warranty description.

Annual Inspections

Annual Inspections are the recommended process for ensuring the coating is maintained and care for the vehicle is properly executed. Annual inspections should be carried out by an approved installer within 30 days before the anniversary date of the last service to ensure peak performance. Although durable and long lasting, annual inspections ensure maximum performance of your ceramic coating.
